Open Microsoft Edge and other Metro/In built apps in Windows 8/10 logged in as an Administrator

  1. Open Group Policy on either the local (gpedit.msc) machine or server
  2. Locate to Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options
  3. Change the below settings
    • User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode For Built-in Administrator Account
      • Set to Enabled.
    • User Account Control: Behavior Of The Elevation Prompt For Administrators In The Admin Mode
      • Set to Elevate Without Prompting
    • User Account Control: Run All Administrators In Admin Approval Mode
      • Set to Enabled.
  4. Restart PC
