If your Spotify Windows App will not play any songs and/or your playlists are just showing empty then you will need to do the below.
Open Notepad as administrator (right click, run as administrator)
Locate to “C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc”
Open the hosts file.
Delete anything relating to Spotify.
