If you update an Acer Aspire laptop, or do a fresh install of Windows 10 and the TouchPad will not work even though you’ve installed the drivers, you need to do the below.
First of all update the BIOS to the latest version. You will need to extract the exe with 7Zip and then extract the extracted exe with 7Zip as well with some of the BIOS drivers otherwise they fail to install.
Once the BIOS is updated you then need to go into the BIOS and change the TouchPad Mode from Advanced to Simple.
You may need to change the installation back to Legacy from UEFI because the update resets the BIOS setting for that which will stop your PC from booting.
